About Us

Nap Clark

Ikthoos Camp was founded in 1964 by Nap Clark, Wayne Neal and Ken Sheppard.  At Ikthoos 2012, Nap went to be with the Lord just after doing what he loved best—sharing a crystal clear message of the Good News. We’ll all miss our big ‘ole hugs from “the Napper,” but we rejoice that now, he’ll be celebrating Ikthoos in the presence of the One he served so faithfully! In July of 2014, Nap’s wife of many years, Dixie Sue Mullins Clark (a counselor at the very first camp), lost her battle with cancer and joined Nap at the feet of Jesus.  Co-founder Wayne Neal also went home to be with the Lord in August of 2014.  What a blessed reunion that must have been.

Our desire is to carry on with Nap, Dixie and Wayne’s mission to lead young people to Christ and teach them to walk with Him moment by moment. We have big shoes to fill, and we rely on the Holy Spirit to accomplish that goal in us.
